MACEDON/MARION - A 200-foot-wide storm system traveled two miles through western Wayne County July 20, ripping up trees, toppling a barn and flipping over a camper, trapping two people inside.

WAYNE COUNTY -- As if hail wasn’t bad enough, Wayne County fruit growers last week received a letter from the state Department of Agriculture and Markets informing them that the Plum Pox Virus has been found in an orchard in Williamson.

Hotchkiss Project May Continue

LYONS - The Wayne County Board of Supervisors has agreed to begin negotiating with the Western Erie Canal Alliance to operate the H.G. Hotchkiss Essential Oil Building after a $1 million renovation is completed on the historic structure.
