Two Seriously Hurt in Newark Crash

NEWARK – Village police are still investigating what made Ubiles Angel, 22, of 205 E. Miller St., veer into the eastbound lane on Van Buren Street Sunday morning and hit a car being driven by Penelope Collan, 52, of Rochester. Angel was airlifted to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester; Collan was taken there by ambulance. Newark police said the violent head-on crash occurred in a 30-m.p.h. area.

Chicken Barbecue
The Sodus Center Ladies Auxiliary is sponsoring a chicken barbecue at the Sodus Center Fire Hall on April 19 from noon until sold out. Take outs are available.
Rummage Sale
The Sodus Cooperative Nursery School will hold its 10th annual rummage sale at 31 W. Main Street in Sodus on April 23 and 24 from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. and April 25 will be the bag sale from 9a.m. - noon.  All proceeds benefit the children of the Cooperative Nursery School.
