NORTH ROSE - High School Principal June Muto will be the building’s assistant principal when school resumes in September, a position she held before being promoted in January 2008.
“Since there was an assistant principal vacancy, she asked to return,” said Superintendent of Schools Lucinda Miner, who did not release any other information regarding Muto’s status change, which the school board approved June 9.

Amanda Alderman Awarded SUNY Cortland Scholarship

NORTH ROSE - Amanda Alderman, a junior Spanish major from North Rose, was one of 18 SUNY Cortland students recently awarded $15,750 in scholarships to help offset the cost of their studies abroad this summer and fall.

Wolcott Strawberry Festival

WOLCOTT-The 15th annual Strawberry Festival, jointly sponsored by Huron and Wolcott Presbyterian Churches, will be held June 20 in Northrup Park in the Village of Wolcott.
The festival events will run from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. There will be craft booths featuring  jewelry, t-shirts, assorted crafts, etc. Keep the kids happy at the Kid’s Game Tent where they can win prizes.
