Dump Truck Gets Dumped

Wayne County sheriff’s deputies responded to an accident on Route 104 at Lawville Road June 25. They said around 6:40 a.m. a dump truck driven by 49-year-old James M. Gianni of Rochester left the roadway and flipped over. Gianni suffered undisclosed injuries and was taken by Mercy Flight to University Hospital in Syracuse, where he was treated. Deputies were assisted at the scene by the Wolcott Fire Department and Ambulance, Red Creek Ambulance and the state police’s Commercial Vehicles Unit. The investigation of the accident is still ongoing.
