WEEDSPORT -- All eyes were on the Cayuga County Fairgrounds for the richest event in 54 years of racing. When the curtain finally dropped Sunday evening on the inaugural edition of DIRTcar All-Star Weekend it was rising star Ryan Phelps etching his name in history with a command performance in the 'All-Star 100' that rewarded him with a record $20,000 payoff at the birthplace of DIRTcar Big-Block Modified Racing.

Afternoon Rains Force Spencer to Cancel

WILLIAMSON - Buck Catalano will have to wait one more week before he tries to win NASCAR Weekly Modified Spencer career win number 50. Fans will also have to wait another week as rains forced officials to cancel racing at Spencer on July 17.
“We waited as long as possible,” stated promoter John White. “We were looking okay when rains started to fall around 4 p.m.” It was to have been King’s Auto Sales and Service night at the track. Ironically the last full rainout back in June was also to have been King’s Auto Sales and Service night.
