Afternoon Rains Force Spencer to Cancel
Submitted by Gary M. Spaid Wednesday, July 22 2009
WILLIAMSON - Buck Catalano will have to wait one more week before he
tries to win NASCAR Weekly Modified Spencer career win number 50. Fans
will also have to wait another week as rains forced officials to cancel
racing at Spencer on July 17.
“We waited as long as possible,” stated promoter John White. “We were
looking okay when rains started to fall around 4 p.m.” It was to have
been King’s Auto Sales and Service night at the track. Ironically the
last full rainout back in June was also to have been King’s Auto Sales
and Service night.
